Your pension is paid monthly in arrears, on the last working day of the month. It’s paid into your bank (or building society) account by BACS (Bankers' Automated Clearing System).
In retirement
Once you start to receive your pension from Essex Pension Fund, there are a couple of things to remember such as your payment dates and pension increase information.
Pension payment dates
Monthly payments
Payslips and P60s
When to expect to receive these
Payslips
Payslips are sent each April and May. They are only sent in other months if there is a change to your tax code, or a change of more than £5 in your net pay.
P60
You will be sent a P60 together with your April payslip each year. A P60 shows the pension paid and the tax deducted during the previous tax year.
You can view your payslips and P60s on Member Online.

Pension increases
Annual pension revaluation
Every April you will be notified of any pension increase announcements. A Pension Increase is applied on the first Monday on or after the start of the tax year each April.
