50/50 Switch Form - Word Version

Use this form to switch into the 50/50 scheme, just complete the form and return it to your payroll department who will arrange for your pension contributions to be reduced.

In the 50/50 scheme you will pay half the usual amount in pension contributions and in turn will build up half the usual amount of pension, and you also get the following benefits:

• Death in service benefits remain at their full value
• Ill health retirement enhancements remain at their full value
• Redundancy cover

Your employer is required to bring you back into the main scheme every 3 years, but they will let you know in advance that they are going to do this and you can choose to opt back into the 50/50 section just by filling in a new 50/50 switch form.
