Please be aware of expected disruption to the postal network due to planned industrial action in August and September.
The Communication Workers Union (CWU) have announced that their members will strike on the following four days:
Friday 26 August 2022
Wednesday 31 August 2022
Thursday 8 September 2022
Friday 9 September 2022
No post will be collected or delivered to or from our office in County Hall on these days. This includes priority post such as Recorded Delivery and Special Delivery items.
Please keep in mind that Monday 29 August is also a bank holiday, therefore we expect significant disruption to postal services starting from Friday and continuing into next week, and you should expect delays in sending or receiving correspondence to or from Essex Pension Fund during this period.
We would like to remind scheme members that you can return completed forms and documentation to the Fund via email at pensionenquiries@essex.gov.uk, and that in most cases we are able to accept scanned copies or photographs of these documents.
