Communication Workers Union (CWU) members are taking industrial action over multiple dates in November and December 2022, and we expect this to cause substantial disruption to the UK postal network.
The CWU have notified Royal Mail that their members will strike on the following dates:
No post will be collected or delivered to or from our office in County Hall on these days. This includes priority post such as Recorded Delivery and Special Delivery items.
We expect significant disruption to postal services starting from Thursday 24 November and continuing into the following week, and you should expect delays in sending or receiving correspondence to or from Essex Pension Fund during this period.
We would like to remind scheme members that you can return completed forms and documentation to the Fund via email at pensionenquiries@essex.gov.uk, and that in most cases we are able to accept scanned copies or clear photographs of these documents.
Alternatively, if you have registered for Member Online you can update your personal details and run pension estimates using this facility! Just log in and follow the on screen instructions in the 'My Personal Details' section.
